										Untitled or Stormy Weather over the 
										Bekaa Valley shows the recurrent 
										influence of Cezanne in this work. The 
										picture is constructed with juxtaposed 
										areas of dark, leaden color, and 
										perspective is suggested not in line but 
										chromatically, à la Cezanne, using the 
										passage from one plane of color to 
										another to create depth. This windswept 
										landscape crushed beneath a stormy sky 
										is characteristic of the dramatized, 
										violent Romanticism of many of Charaf's 
										landscape.  |
